Cost: $75 per collection and evaluation
Length Per Visit: 1 hrAbout: A few weeks before you plan to breed your stallion it is recommended that a semen evaluation is performed. This is a crucial part of evaluating your stallion’s breeding soundness and health prior to the breeding season. The three aspects of a semen evaluation are volume, concentration, and motility. After the stallion’s sheath this cleaned, excess smegma, and beans removed, the stallion approaches the phantom or tease mare. Semen is collected in an Artificial vagina and semen collected for evaluation. Consecutive clean-out collections may be required to remove dead or damaged sperm cells before an accurate evaluation can be performed.
