EquiShield IBH

EquiShield IBH is a specialized salve formulated to treat insect bite hypersensitivity (IBH) in horses. This condition, characterized by allergic reactions to insect bites, can cause significant discomfort and skin irritation. EquiShield IBH addresses these issues through a combination of active ingredients:

• Chlorhexidine Gluconate 2%: Provides antimicrobial activity to prevent secondary infections.
• Pramoxine HCl 1%: Acts as a topical anesthetic to alleviate irritated skin.
• Hydrocortisone 0.5%: Serves as a topical anti-inflammatory to reduce swelling and redness.
• Citronella Oil 1%: Functions as a natural insect repellent to minimize further insect bites.

The salve is designed for topical application and has a light citronella scent. EquiShield IBH offers a comprehensive approach to managing IBH in horses, combining antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, anesthetic, and insect-repellent properties in one formulation.
